Graphics Delivery
All provided graphics (titles, results, clock, targets) are delivered as a single feed to Eurovision broadcast facilities by SIWIDATA, and consist of:
- 1 HD-SDI Fill signal – 1080 i /50 Hz - SMPTE292M compliant.
- 1 HD-SDI Key signal – 1080 i /50 Hz - SMPTE292M compliant.
An optional second graphic feed can also be used by the Host Broadcaster for advanced scenarios like recording of the finish line with permanent graphics insertion.
Graphics Redundancy
As graphics play an important role in a biathlon live broadcast coverage, a redundant architecture is foreseen. The Timing and Results systems are completely redundant. The whole backup system graphic chain will run over independent hardware and on a separate power circuit from the main graphic engine.
