Eurovision Song Contest 2025
The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will take place in the St Jacobshalle in Basel, Switzerland on Saturday 17 May with Semi-Finals on Tuesday 13 and Thursday 15 May. It is the first time Basel has hosted the Contest as the event returns to its birthplace, Switzerland, for the first time since 1989. The first Eurovision Song Contest was held in Lugano in 1956.
This year 37 public broadcasters will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest - the world’s largest live music event. 10 artists will qualify from each Semi-Final to join the pre-qualified ones (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and host country Switzerland) in the Grand Final. The 69th Eurovision Song Contest Semi-Finals will be hosted by Swiss comedian Hazel Brugger and singer/presenter Sandra Studer, who represented Switzerland at the 1991 Contest. International TV star Michelle Hunziker will join them to present the Grand Final.
The Contest is expected to reach over 160 million TV viewers and millions more online.

Non-Rights Holders which are EVN Members may use a total of three (3) minutes of the Shows Material strictly in the news context in general current affairs bulletins which are to be broadcast on a linear basis within forty-eight (48) hours of the Semi-Finals and the Final respectively.
Non-Rights Holders which are not EVN Members may use a total of two (2) minutes of the Shows Material in News Bulletins which are to be Broadcast on a linear basis within twenty-four (24) hours of the Semi-Finals and the Final respectively.
In addition, the following conditions shall be respected:
a) No stand-alone use of the Shows Material can be made;
b) No song must be used in its entirety and no more than ten (10) seconds of each song may be used;
c) All included Shows Material must give an on-screen credit to read as follows "COURTESY OF SRG SSR and EBU" for the whole duration of the Shows Material used;
d) Use of Shows Material is subject to Section 5 f) below via Television and on Websites on an On-Demand basis;
e) If the News Bulletin or the general current affairs bulletins in which Shows Material is included are made available on Websites on an On-Demand basis;
f) If the bulletins in question can remain posted for a reasonable duration after the Final (one month maximum).
g) Use of the Shows with national commentaries can be used only with the written permission of the relevant Rights Holder in the particular country and in accordance with these Access Rules.
The use of the Winner’s Press Conference Material and of the Opening Red Carpet Ceremony Material is unrestricted.
