COP24 - United Nations Climate Change Conference


The 24th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 24) to the UNFCCC will take place from 3-14 December 2018 in the city of Katowice, Poland. COP 24 is expected to finalize the rules for implementation of the Paris Agreement on climate change under the Paris Agreement work program.

UN Conference on Migration


The Intergovernmental Conference to Adopt the Global Compact for Migration offers the opportunity to improve international cooperation on migration. There are over 258 million migrants in the world today. Although UN members, excluding the US, backed the agreement in July, the US, Austria, and the Czech Republic have expressed the intention not to sign and other EU countries are expressing doubt. The Compact is a non binding framework.
