BROADCAST SERVICES

We are currently operational from the rooftop of the Rome bureau with four stand-up positions on the rooftop of our office at 44 Via della Concilliazione.  Please go to the first floor upon entering to the EBU office and your correspondent will be escorted to the stand-up position. 

We will also have 2 standup positions infront of the Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica in Rome.

EBU will be looking after the Media platforms at Piazza Pio XII and Piazza Pia, and allocating the spaces there on a first come, first served basis.

To book your dedicate live position on either platform, please urgently contact newsevents@eurovision.net to receive the ratecard and details.
We are also accepting bookings on our fully equipped and manned positions at Piazza Papa Pio XII and Piazza Pia, as well as our rooftop position. We will also offer unmanned single position at Piazza Pia, Castel Sant Angelo. The position is equipped with 10Mb symmetrical wired internet line and power. Availability is extremely limited.

ACCREDITATION

We strongly recommend that you apply for a Temporary Accreditation with the Vatican here.  Click on "Accreditation System - Holy See Press Office". Once you've logged in, on the calendar, click on the green line that reads "Funeral Papa Francesco e Conclave". A pop-up will appear and you can select all the boxes and click submit. 

A platform pass is required to access both EBU platforms on Piazza Pia and Piazza Pio platforms. Please click here to apply

From St. Peter Square to St. Maria Maggiore Basilica 

Funeral Mass of Pope Francis and Translation in the Basilica of St. Maria Maggiore

At the end of the Funeral Mass (approximately at 1145 Rome time – 0945 GMT), the coffin of the Roman Pontiff Francis will be accompanied to the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore for the burial.

Ceremony time at St. Peter Square: 1000 -1145 approx. GMT 

SCHEDULE TIME:
Feed times: 0720 – 1200 GMT (0920 – 1400 CET approx.) (line-up included) 

Funeral mass at St Peter’s Square starts 0800 GMT approx. (1000 CET approx.)
The procession will start at 0945 -1000 GMT (1145 -1200 CET) where the coffin and cortege will to Santa Maria Maggiore.
