Patents in Europe: Statistics, trends and rankings for 2021

On 5 April 2022, the European Patent Office (EPO) publishes its annual Patent Index 2021.
This year’s Patent Index will include:
Analysis of demand for patents in Europe in 2021
Rankings of the top countries of origin, companies and technical fields
Latest technology trends in key fields such as medical technology, vaccines, transport and semiconductors
