EBU and FIFA conclude media rights agreement for FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and FIFA Events 2015-16

The EBU and FIFA have extended their long-standing agreement to include the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and Other FIFA events.

The EBU and FIFA have extended their long-standing agreement to include the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and Other FIFA Events*. 

The deal covers the media rights for all Matches across all media platforms in 37 countries*. 

Since 2007, EBU Members have provided extensive coverage for these FIFA National Team Competitions via TV, Radio, the internet and mobile platforms and will continue to do so in the coming years. 

The new deal covers notably the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017 and next year's FIFA Women's World Cup™ in Canada.

The agreement is an expression of the EBU Membership’s commitment to national team football and fits its public service mission of the EBU Members to broadcast a diverse range of sports events to the widest possible audience. 

The EBU’s portfolio of international football rights also includes the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™, the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ and the European Qualifiers 2016-2018 for UEFA EURO 2016™.
