Eurovision Services will offer comprehensive services for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.

Following Netta Barzilai’s win in Portugal last May, the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest will take place at the Expo Tel Aviv (International Convention Centre) in Israel. The first Semi-Final will be held on 14 May, the second Semi-Final on 16 May and the Grand Final will take place on 18 May. Eurovision Services will transmit a total of 30 hours of content over the seven days leading up to and including the competition finals.

“Great events, such as the Eurovision Song Contest, entertain, inspire and tell wonderful stories. They live in our memory. But great events don’t happen by accident. There are so many elements that must come together to turn an event into an incredible experience. The stakes have never been higher and the need to maximise content reach with faultless execution has never been greater. That’s where Eurovision Services is invaluable”, says Marco Tinnirello, CEO of Eurovision Services.

To cover this landmark event, Eurovision Services will offer a range of media services to broadcasters to enable them to bring this electrifying event to audiences around the world.

“Our technical team has been onsite since the end of April to ensure that everything goes smoothly. The team is busy preparing the multilateral distribution, dedicated services for specific broadcasters, playout facilities, editing suites, voting coordination and other services on request. We will also take care of the non-linear distribution, streaming services and providing participating broadcasters with access to our B2B content library, so there is a lot to do. We have some of the best people in the industry working in our team that provide the expertise and passion you need to deliver an event of this scale”, he continued.

A total of 41 countries will “Dare to Dream” at this year’s event as they take to the stage to compete for the next win. In addition to providing the content distribution via the Eurovision Global Network (satellite and fibre), Eurovision Services will also deploy its latest Eurovision Remote Graphics Solution to several media organisations for the first time during this event, allowing them to personalise their TV graphics for local audiences during the voting session.

“We see a lot of interest in our Eurovision Remote Graphics Solution as it provides an opportunity for our clients – sports federations and event organisers – to remotely adapt their TV graphics at the origin without having to produce several signal versions and transport them separately back to takers. This is just one example of how we’ve expanded the scope of services we offer, and for this event, it makes perfect sense. Media organisations using the solution will be able to adapt the language and voting contact information for their specific audiences,” says Marco Tinnirello, CEO of Eurovision Services.
