Pope Francis has formally opened the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican on 24 December 2024, marking the beginning of the Jubilee Year. This Holy Door, along with the Holy Doors of Rome's three other Papal Basilicas, will remain open during the 2025 Jubilee Year: Peregrinantes in Spem (Pilgrims in hope).
