Pope Francis will take an apolstolic journey to Kazakhstan 13-15 September, after accepting the invitation of the civil and ecclesial authorities.
The trip takes place in Nur-Sultan at the 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. He is expected to meet with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Orthodox Patriarch Kirill of Moscow after recent tension over the war in Ukraine.
