33-year-old Sebastian Kurz, leader of the conservative Austrian People’s Party, is leading opinion polls ahead of Sunday’s elections. Austria holds snap elections after a corruption scandal caused the collapse of the previous coalition government. Opinion polls show Kurz getting around 33% of the vote, followed by the Socialist Party with 22% of support. Kurz’s former coalition partner, the Freedom Party (FPO), comes third.
