The General Debate of the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly will take place September 19th - 25th. The General Debate is usually preceded by a high-level summit the day before. If he chooses to attend, the General Assembly will be President Trump's first opportunity to address the international body.
Credentials are required to access the UN building and the Eurovision stand-up positions.
Picking up your UN media credential can only be done IN PERSON
From 17 to 22 September, badges can be collected at the UNITAR building, 801 First Avenue (corner of 45th Street and First Avenue).
Once access to First Avenue is restricted due to security, you will need to show a print out of your credenatial confirmation emial to officers at 2nd Avenue and 46th Street in order to reach the accreditation office.
YOU MUST BRING A PRINTOUT OF THE CONFIMATION EMAIL APPROVING YOUR CREDENTIAL, A COPY OF YOUR LETTER OF ASSIGNMENT AND YOUR ORIGINAL PASSPORT (and for non-US nationals, a copy of the visa/Green card/work authorization).
Hours of operation to pick up credential (SUBJECT TO CHANGE): (ALL TIMES EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME)
- Sunday, 17 September - 10 am to 6 pm
- Monday, 18 September - 7 am to 7 pm
- Tuesday, 19 September - 7 am to 6 pm
- Wednesdy and Thursday - 20 and 21 September - 8 am to 6 pm
- Friday, 22 September - 8 am to 5 pm
- Monday, 25 September - 9 am to 4 pm
EUROVISION Special Events will offer the following facilities onsite:
- Multiple Standup positions from the United Nations Headquarters
- Playout with members own camera, player
- Non-equipped workspaces with HB signal and wifi (available on a first come, first served basis)
- Connectivity to the Eurovision Global Network

THE DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR UNGA72 MEDIA ACCREDITATION IS NOW PASSED.
The Eurovision feed point will be located inside the designated media center, Conference Room 1 on the basement level of the Secretriat Building) for the duration of the event.
To access the media center, you will enter the UN headquarters at the 47th Street entrance.
The media center will be open each day at 1100 GMT (0700 EDT) and will close each day at the end of the General Assembly speeches, normally around 0100 GMT (2100 EDT).
Outside of these hours, Eurovision can accomodate tape feeds from the stand-up positions at the Press Island with members own player/camera.
Workspace in the media center is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note that Eurovision is unable to reserve media workspaces on behalf of clients.
Please note the POOL FEED will be provided by the UN at the front of the media center and you will need to bring YOUR OWN SDI cable to connect to the pool distribution rack provided by the UN.
Stand-up positions will be located at "The Press Island", between 45th and 46th Street on the East side of 1st Avenue. Please allow ample time to move from inside the UN media to the live stand-up positions.
