Dozens of protesters in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and other cities across Russia were arrested during anti-corruption protests in Moscow on Monday.
Opposition leader Alexey Navalny, one of the organizers of the protests, was arrested at his home before the protests started.
The organizers in Moscow had initially received permission to demonstrate on Prospekt Sakharova in the Russian capital, but decided to relocate their demonstration to Tverskaya street on Sunday evening. Over 100 people were arrrested in Moscow alone, reports indicate.
