Berlinale 2008
More
As part of an agreement with the organizers of the 2008 Berlin Film Festival, Eurovision offered the opening and closing ceremonies of the Berlinale on the global Eurovision network, free of network costs.
The 58th Berlin International Film Festival was held from February 7-17, 2008.

The Rolling Stones concert film Shine A Light from Oscar® winning director Martin Scorsese opened the festival on 7 February 2008 with the director and band in attendance.

More than 19,000 film professionals from 120 countries, including 4,000 journalists, were accredited for the Berlin International Film Festival every year.

Up to 400 films are shown every year as part of the Berlinale's public programme, the vast majority of which are world or European premieres.

Greek-French director Costa-Gavras was the President of the International Jury of the Berlinale 2008.
