The archers shot the individual finals Saturday afternoon at the Shanghai World Cup.Tripple Gold Medal for Korea?s KI Bo Bae. The two gold medals at stake in Recurve went to Korean archers, IM Dong-Hyun and KI Bo Bae, while in Compound the winners were Shaun TEASDALE (NZL) and Nicky HUNT (GBR). Individual finals are played out of 5 sets of 3 arrows.The team and mixed team finals were shot this morning at the World Cup Stage 4 in Shanghai. In the team competition, India won the gold medal in the Recurve Men category and Korea in the Women?s. In Compound, the winning teams were the Australian men and the American women. In the Mixed Teams, the gold medals went to Korea (Recurve) and Mexico (Compound). With this victory, the pair from Mexico qualified for the World Cup Final in Edinburgh. The last Archery World Cup 2010 stage in Shanghai is decisive for the qualifications to the Final that will take place 18-19 September in Edinburgh (GBR). This year, since the top 7 in the ranking make it to the Final, everything is possible?or almost. For the third time in history (after 2006 and 2009) Shanghai hosts the fourth and last stage of the Archery World Cup. With many possible scenarios for the qualifications to the Edinburgh Final, the Yuan Shen stadium in the modern Shanghai will be a great theatre for some intense sports drama. In the Archery World Cup, the athletes have four stages to earn points and only their top 3 results are compiled. In Shanghai, all the archers will play under the same competition format as the first World Cup in Porec.
