The Championship creates a dramatic spectacle, as the sleek yet highly powered racing boats embark upon a series of closely fought off-shore endurance races across Europe. The venues for 2009 are Malta, Turkey, Italy, Sweden and Sicily. Teams from around the world will compete in the Evolution or Supersport Class races. After Round 3 in Italy, the Evolution class is led by British Team Silverline(47) and the Supersports Class by the Seagull Chaudron Ukrainian Spirit (43). Powerboat P1 is the fastest-growing offshore series in the world; a truly adrenaline-fuelled global odyssey. It's all about overwhelming sound, blinding speeds and gutsy heroes, taking on their rivals in state-of-the-art boats and racing just yards apart as they bounce from wave to wave.
