Comments
Maarja Kadajane  > Producer 'It was interesting to see that a lot of the cars that one could only imagine some thirty years ago, were now presented at this year's Geneva Motor Show. For example, a car that can fly under the water, as seen in a James Bond movie 'The Spy Who Loved Me' in 1977, became a reality thanks to James Bond enthusiast and Swiss automobile visionary Frank M. Rinderknecht. The car, named 'Squba', is electrically powered with two propellers at the front and two hydro-jets at the back. Squba can fly under the water - with or without a driver!

'I was also convinced that an electric car concept is our future with oil at 100 dollars a barrel and increasing ecological awareness. Car manufacturers showed that stylish design and being environmentally  friendly are not necessarily incompatible. Good examples are Morgan's 'Life Car' and Dodge's 'Zeo'.

'The 78th Motor Show was not only about fancy and expensive cars, but it signified the beginning of a new era in environmental thinking, something that made the show even more newsworthy. We didn't assist only broadcasters and corporate clients on-site but provided numerous items to EBU members in the Eurovision News Exchanges'.

Lance Newhart   > Senior producer 'One of the world's permier auto exhibitions, the Geneva International Motor Show is neutral territory in the battle amoung European, American and Asian car manufacturers. The event allows us to work closely with journalists specializing in business and technology, and to provide services to some of the automakers directly. It is very encouraging to see the focus now being placed on green and energy efficient vehicles, as well as being a great deal of fun to see the latest in an amazing range of space age vehicles and concept cars.'
